Looking south along the B1239 towards Preston. The bottom step of this 3 step milestone is hidden in the grass. The houses in the distance are Endholme. The original legend on this stone, now eroded, was TO HULL/VI MILES. On the 8.8 mile long Hull, Preston and Hedon tollroad, 1745-1878.
