I have just had to leap a fast flowing stream. And I mean leap. From a high bank to a low stony bank. There were no other options. I pictured in my mind's eye one of those many online clips of walkers burdened under a monstrous pack tumbling into rivers and streams and disappearing under the water to resurface gasping in shock, drenched and humiliated, with a soundtrack of hysterical laughter played over the top. So, having made a leap and what is more being successful I am slightly exhilarated and therefore disorientated and off my correct line. Time to negotiate some barbed wire in a double line arrangement and avoid some low branches. For what seems like the fourth or fifth time today so far...
