This is my favourite stage for lambs; when they form small very mobile 'gangs' that leap on tree stumps, gambol, frolic, gallop at full pelt around, stop in gullible curiosity or flee in fear, and repeat until they need a feed from mum or a sleep. Six orange sprayed lambs here are making friends with two red sprayed twins in the next field.
