D142 (XX 9591) was new in 1925 to the Dominion Omnibus Co and is a Dennis 4-Ton open-topped bus, seating 48. It was withdrawn in 1931 after 6 years service. This vintage bus was bought by the London Bus Museum in 1984 where it underwent extensive restoration and rebuilding, then painted in the blue London Public livery it carried in 1928-1929. Seen here showing London Route 29 details and vintage adverts for Lyons Tea, outside Guildford Cathedral visiting the centenary of local bus company Safeguard Coaches in 2024. www.londonbusmuseum.com
