Built in 1829, according to a date that was once visible on the semi-circular projection above the left hand windows. It was Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246884 & https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101246884-the-castle-vaults-public-house-shrewsbury in 1995.
