The Wimpey Fields Flood Alleviation Scheme was created 2016-17. The aquagreen (flood storage area) includes a swale and a pond, the latter connecting to Sutton Cross Drain. Scheme plan: https://www.hull.gov.uk/downloads/file/616/Howdale_Road_scheme.pdf Depicted is part of the swale that runs close to the western perimeter of the field, its course largely delineated by decayed grasses. At the time of my visit, there was no visible water in the swale, parts of which were covered by brambles.
