Carved stone post by the B6318, in parish of Henshaw (Tynedale District), Winshields, on grass verge, on South side of road. Military road level stone, erected by the Newcastle upon Tyne to Carlisle turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- CARLISLE 23 NEWCASTLE 33 Northumberland HER.
