Former Elderslie Hotel (South Elevation) Largs, North Ayrshire

This building was originally a two storey square villa which was built in 1812. Miss Speirs of Elderslie bought it and enlarged the building by adding two wings. The heraldic insignia of her family can be seen on the south facing gable. The roof has decorations in the form of chess pieces.
