Why do people come here and traipse this empty, neglected, forgotten and irrelevant landscape with its total lack of modern amenities, conveniences and facilities? There is no one here. There is just vast, empty spaces where the wind blows and no one comes. The roads are narrow and winding, not well signposted and everything is just so remote. There seems to be no industry, no employment, no opportunities. It is all a very, very long way from anything. Ha ha! I expect there actually are people who would think this! To my mind they are 'looking through the wrong end of the telescope'. An hour on that beach will clear anyone's mind - getting on a vast beach puts everything in perspective. Being a king is a laughable concept, a farce in fact, or 'rich' or 'successful' when a human being is a tiny distant dot on the sands. We are not here to attain titles, rank, awards, status or position - but to enjoy the cold wet winds, smell the sea air, fill our lungs with freedom and live in partnership with nature.
