An old path now superseded by the English Coast Path, and of course part of the route whereby a walker could completely circumscribe the whole coastline of the UK, should they be nutty enough to do so, or should I say sufficiently motivated..? I like coast path walking but I cannot imagine choosing a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction and then keeping to that for in excess of 11,000 miles. That is over 20,000 hours of walking. with the sea always to your right, or left...My brain would turn to mush. I would feel like a caged cheetah. I would rather catch the 7.34 am train to a meaningless office job for 20,000 hours...shudder... I really do like the old waymarker here. Look at those rusty nails...The design is great - an N! Simple, effective, direct and unpretentious, like the people of this region. Love it.
