Alongside the former Spurn lightship, which is currently undergoing refurbishment, is the vessel Godthaab (the former name of the capital of Greenland, now Nuuk). The stern indicates that the port of registration is Hull. Positive identification of the vessel is unclear. It may be a fishing vessel built in 1901 by Christensen Sandefjord, Norway, that was renamed Godthaab in 1954 but is currently registered as Hvitabjorn. If so, it would appear that it has recently reverted to its former name. Subject to confirmation.
