The old righthand insulator assembly has been lowered to the ground and the new one is being fixed at the top. Porcelain insulators are used for the replacement because they are less vulnerable to vandalism. However, they are heavier than glass ones and therefore have to be installed in two sections. Each of the white rings weighs 12 Kg and the full complement of 23 weighs 282 Kg. Next Image
