This 400 KV pylon in Boyatt Wood, Eastleigh has been damaged by vandals. The glass insulators are vulnerable to catapults or air guns. In preparation for replacing them the electric power on the near side of the pylon has been turned off, safety earthing wires have been attached, and a winch has been used to remove the load from the insulators.
