The only hotel in this part of Leeds as far as I know, but still a going concern, perhaps helped by the recent redevelopment of the nearby South Bank area as an educational centre. It was described in a CAMRA guide to Leeds pubs published in 1993 as a pub rather than a hotel at that time.
