The historic High Street is now by-passed for most traffic so it is a pleasant environment for today's shoppers. Many historic buildings remain in commercial use e.g. Whitley's. a family-owned jewellers shop which has a projecting clock. Note the former coaching yard. www.whitleys-jewellers.com
