Restalrig Terrace predates most of the buildings on what was Hermitage Hill and presumably before that an area of sandy ground or links. As a result of skirting agricultural land or policies it has a course which involves it turning off from itself. Straight on, behind the camera is the slightly younger East Restalrig Terrace.
