Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of BRIGHAM (ALLERDALE District), Fitz Park, West of Cockermouth centre, opposite long stone wall, on grass verge, on South side of road. Carlisle red stone & curved iron plate, erected by the Cockermouth & Workington turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- COCKERMOUTH COURT HOUSE 1 MILE WORKINGTON 7 Grade II Listed.
