Main Road through Oughtibridge

The three signs are all in place, at the date of the picture, because the main road, between Oughtibridge and Sheffield, is (still) closed following the floods in June 2007. This has meant a major diversion for road traffic and additional signs to try and help the traffic flow. Some 10 months after the main road was closed a 'new' Zebra Crossing is being situated in Church Street to help pedestrians get across the road! The building signed as 'The Village Shop' was originally a pub called the Filesmiths Arms.
