Located on Southgate next to Vista Tower in Stevenage. The old 3 storey (Ground Floor - 2nd Floor) Social Services building was built in 1958 as the original Stevenage Police Station until the Police Station was relocated to Lytton Way in the 1990s which is a bigger and better site, the former Police Station was then converted into a Social Services for children aged 3 to 18 which was run by Hertfordshire County Council but the property owned by Stevenage Borough Council. The Social Services moved out in 2009 and relocated elsewhere in Stevenage and the building remained vacant and derelict until it’s demolition in 2021, the building was demolished to make way for a new 20 storey apartment building which will be taller than Vista Tower next door as part of the Regeneration Project by Stevenage Borough Council.
