Mae Eglwys Sant Iago yn dyddio o'r 15g ac yn ol pob son safai'r eglwys wreiddiol yng Nghynffig ond bu raid symud oddi yno oherwydd ymlediad y tywod. Mae'n bosibl y daeth y cerrig i adeiladu'r egwlys o Gastell Cynffig. St James' Church dates from the 15th century and according to tradition it was originally located at Kenfig but was abandoned due to the encroaching sand. The stones to construct the church may have come from Kenfig Castle.
