Most of the mileposts on the route between Whitby and Guisborough are still by the roadside and are well-painted. On the old road into Guisborough, Whitby Road, which was once the main road into the town, is the last/first on this route. In 2004 this post was lifted up out of the pavement, painted and reset by Cleveland Corrosion Control of Staithes.
