Most of the 19th century houses lining two sides of the triangular green are grade II listed, including the building to the left of the arch (29 The Green, list entry 1131219) which is called The Old Brewery Image; it is certainly shown as an inn on the 1913 OS map, and many inns did brew their own beer in times past.
