Tidy High Street in the Essex town of Great Dunmow - famous Flitch Town. A flitch (side) of bacon is awarded to married couples from anywhere in the world, if they can satisfy the jury of six bachelors and 6six maidens that in a year and a day they not have wished themselves unwed.
