The pub was refurbished in 1925 and 1937 but has not had a major refurb since then, earning it a minor place in CAMRA's regional inventory of historic pubs, though at the lowest level of interest. I didn't go in as it was too dark for photographs, crowded and with very noisy music (Whatpub.com lists it as a karaoke venue).
