The stark modernist entrance building at the National Museum of History has been decluttered inside and out in recent years, and is now far closer to the original vision of Sir Percy Thomas, its architect. The museum has had an assortment of official names since first opening in 1948. Most refer to it by the name of the village in which it is situated, St Fagan's, or Sain Ffagan. The lettering spelling this out is a great addition.
