Capel y Traeth on Penpaled Road has a notable porticoed façade. It was built at a cost of £2,040 in 1895 by Owen Roberts of Porthmadog. Previously known as Capel Seion, when the congregation merged with that of Capel Mawr, reuniting the two Calvinistic Methodist congregations that had separated in 1889, it was renamed in 1995 as Beach Chapel. It is now part of the Presbyterian Church of Wales. A bilingual church, the town's Presbyterians and Congregationalists worship together here. Capel y Traeth is the only Welsh language church in Criccieth with the members of Jerusalem Church worshipping here since 2014. https://www.ebcpcw.cymru/en/churches/capel-y-traeth/ It is Grade II listed https://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=15364
