A building with some history. Part of it (the gabled wing facing the road) is in essence 16th century, and thought to be the remaining portion of a large house of that time; it was then extended by the addition of a 17th century construction (the part here under scaffolding). In the 1800s, it was the Park Inn, later the Park Hotel and subsequently the social club for that hotel. It's probably now in private ownership, as there's no signage indicating any sort of commercial operation, but the whole building was Grade II* listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101246399-park-hotel-park-social-club-shrewsbury & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246399 in 1953.
