Gosford Heights, former grain silo at Beccles Maltings

The 1960's grain silo in Gosford Road originally served as part of the Beccles maltings complex. Constructed using pre-stressed concrete, the silo was a significant structure and a part of the history of Beccles. When the maltings closed it, along with the maltings seemed only suitable for demolition. However it was decided that conversion, rather than demolition was the better option and the result is twenty-two flats serving a social need with three penthouse apartments.
