Lord Salisbury (1830 - 1903) looks down somewhat disapprovingly from his seat outside the gate to Hatfield House. He served as a Conservative prime minister three times over a period of 13 years. The statue was sculpted by G Frampton and unveiled in 1906. It is grade II listed.
