A pedestal tomb of carved limestone, erected around 1800. It is a memorial to the life/death of John Whitehurst who passed away in 1815, and several of his children who died in the years before that. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101307995-whitehurst-memorial-great-hanwood & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1307995 in 1986.
