This retail park in Willenhall takes its name from Coventry Airport which is in fact the other side of the A45/A46 roads and not adjacent. The airport itself has had a chequered history in recent years and no longer handles commercial passenger flights, so it is perhaps surprising that the airport name has been retained here. Be that as it may, the park comprises 137,000 sq ft of retail space and has a range of 'big name' tenants. Comparing this view with Image, taken 13 years earlier, it is interesting to note the changes. What was then the Currys PC World megastore is now a Smyths Toys Superstore. Currys are still here but the company has discontinued the PC World brand name. Further along Dunelm has not moved but the large logo over the door has been redesigned. At the end of the block Iceland now occupies the unit previously held by Dreams beds.
