At a sports facility in the heart of the new housing developments at The Gorbals, now known as Laurieston for marketing purposes. The 11ft (3m) by 16ft (5m) work was created by local artist EJEK, whose real name is Danny McDermott, in 1918 as a tribute to the Marvel Comics artist who died a few weeks earlier. At the time, it was expected to last "a few months" before being painted over by the artist. Fortunately, it has survived.
