Station Lane, Oughtibridge

This road, leading from the main road (also confusingly called Station Lane) to the site of the former Oughty Bridge Station, is a mixture of housing styles, types and ages. The first terraced section, shown in the foreground, would have been built at about the time the Railway came to Oughtibridge in the mid 1840s. There is then a block of three semi-detached dormer bungalows from the 1960s, then a large detached house which looks 1920/30ish, then another terraced block from the 1850s. This block contains what was originally the Station Master's House and the Station Inn. Opposite all of these are new houses built in 2007. However all of these different buildings seem to sit well together.
