The pattern of barns and dry stone walls in Upper Swaledale is recognised as being one of the most distinctive agricultural landscapes in Western Europe. The barns were used for cattle housing and storing food for livestock and they are now in varying states of repair. This one is to the east of Muker in Swaledale.
