Before being a pub this was a farmhouse on the Ashford Estate, called Waggon & Cart Lodge with a granary on the upper floor. When it was sold it was divided into two cottages, the one on the left became the Two Brewers pub circa 1756, but was relatively short lived. It has since been returned to being a single dwelling house.
