This ancient cross is situated adjacent to the path from the church gates to the South Porch of Image It is richly decorated and an unusual shape, having a horseshoe shaped head rather than a circular one. There is a cross incised into both sides of the head and hour-glass or chalice shapes on the shaft. It is of unknown age, but certainly pre-conquest, probably around the C7th or C8th.
