The small lawn is at the centre of the village of Rookhope which has a history of lead mining, and so the mine tub on display. The building immediately beyond the grass is a public convenience. The two other buildings are part of a cluster around a yard; one is dilapidated, the other is part of an extensive renovation which has been ongoing for some years.
