18thC buildings on Cross Wynd. For recent history see https://historicfalkland.scot/wiki/index.php?title=Parliament_Square , but I found no information on the earlier history that might explain the name. The circular flower bed was originally a 'hooping bed', a stone circle which was used to form and place the iron rims round cartwheels.
