The three pairs of semi-detached houses were built for the City Council in 1950 on this large post-war estate. They are the British Iron and Steel Federation (BISF) type, with a modular steel frame and prefabricated pressed-steel outer walls on the first floor and rendered concrete ground-floor walls. Houses still owned by the local authority have recently been clad to make them more thermally-efficient. The nearest house has been faced with brick and acquired a porch. Image] shows more clearly some houses in Nottingham which are in more-or-less original condition.
