Village pub dating from the first half of the 19th century. This used to be a Sam Smiths pub, but I'm not sure if it still is. Grade II listed. Traffic queuing for the nearby traffic lights, the queue extending for more than half a mile down the hill towards Harewood bridge. The A61 from Harrogate to Leeds could not be described as a fun road to drive.
