The Lost Chord

This bridge over the Grand Union Canal at Bordesley carries a curve of railway that connects one line with another, known as a chord. It enables trains using the Camp Hill line to enter Birmingham New Street from the east, and forms part of a larger rail node apparently called the Grand Junction. Local passenger services on the Camp Hill line were discontinued during the Second World War, but are scheduled to restart in 2024, with passenger stations in Moseley and elsewhere in south Birmingham being rebuilt; see Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Hill_line .
