Blakenham Lock

This former lock, one of fifteen on the River Gipping between Ipswich and Stowmarket, was in operation between 1793 and 1934, when the Stowmarket Navigation was formally wound up. Work is currently under way to restore some of the locks. http://www.purbrook.demon.co.uk/iwa/guidemain.htm
