Italianate, by T. Bird, 1853-55. The most striking feature is the iron porte-cochere (Image]). Just beyond is the former Poor Law Union Office, 1861-62, which was later used as an annex to the town hall. Grade II listed. The former had been an Indian restaurant, Bukhara, but it has since closed.
