Ascot Priory, founded by Lydia Sellon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lydia_Sellon Sadly Sellon died in 1876. Departing this month were: 1st July 2023, Bob Kerslake, head of the civil service from 2012 to 2014; 16th, Jane Birkin, one half of that controversial song, later an actress; 21st, Ann Clywd, Wales' first female MP, and veteran crooner, Tony Bennett; 24th, BBC journalist George Alagiah and Trevor Francis, England’s first £ million footballer; 26th, Irish singer/ songwriter Sinéad O'Connor; and 28th, The Eagles original bassist Randy Meisner.
