The arch stands in front of where the Fauconberge School once stood. The carving of his arms is flanked by his initials and the date of his will, 1712. Henry Fauconberge, the fifth and youngest son of Thomas Fauconberge, was born on 19th April 1634, appointed as official to the Archdeacon of Suffolk in 1664, and had a degree of law confirmed on him in 1665. He died on 29th October 1713, and is buried in St. Michael's churchyard. Image
