The Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1293192?section=official-list-entry Grosvenor Building dates from 1880 and was then the Manchester Municipal School of Art. It became first part off Manchester Polytechnic and subsequently the Faculty of Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. It is currently undergoing a £10million refurbishment. According to Place North West https://www.placenorthwest.co.uk/mmu-starts-8m-grosvenor-west-refurb/ "the project comprises fabric repairs to the 141-year-old property's exterior brick and stonework, roof, and roof lights, and the addition of secondary glazing to improve insulation. The work also includes upgrading and replacing internal heating and lighting systems, maintaining, enhancing, and reintroducing original heritage assets, and enhancing accessibility."
