The top of a telegraph pole on West Cliffe Terrace. The pole is a 28 foot medium pole installed by the GPO in 1954. The pole is unusually cut into a square with flattened corners, giving an overall octagonal shape with alternating long and short sides. Behind is a horizontally polarised UHF TV aerial pointing towards Bilsdale West Moor UHF.
