This is a view of the canal from Brunswick Street in the Southtown of Leamington Spa. The modern factory buildings on the right hand side of the canal are the former Flavels works, now Aga Rangemaster. John Flavel bought a foundry in Bilton near Rugby in 1777 and moved production to Leamington Priors, now Leamington Spa, in 1803. The new canal linking the Midlands and London and passing through Leamington must have made the location attractive. See Grace's Guide to British Industrial History on Flavels https://gracesguide.co.uk/Sidney_Flavel_and_Co .
