Looking northwards, towards the centre of Nelson. Lomeshaye Road comes down from the right, and continues from the left hand corner. The empty and disused St. Mary's Church stands awaiting its fate: the nine bells from this redundant church went to York Minster, where with the addition of further new bells, a carillon was constituted.
