At the southwest corner of the crossroads A7/B6372 in Gorebridge is the much extended Harvieston Toll Cottage. The small window to the left of the drainpipe may have been the original doorway now blocked up. The toll cottage probably dating from the early 19C would have been erected or used by the Dalkeith District Turnpike Trust.
